The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels recently celebrated yet another scholarship signing, with more to come. Pitcher, Jace Armstrong, has committed to play next year for the Chargers of Ga. Highlands. Armstrong pitched 276 total innings for the Lady Rebels with a career ERA of 2.36. She finished her Lady Rebels career number two on the all-time wins list. (more…)
The Fannin County High School Rebels softball team, after finishing fourth in the Region 7-AAA tournament, traveled to Ringgold to take on the number one seed, Lady Tigers. The Lady Rebels route to a state championship was ruined at Ringgold, as ran off two straight wins, sweeping the Lady Rebels 2-0, (10-2, 7-4). (more…)
The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels softball team traveled to the Lanier Park Softball complex in Gainesville to take part in the Region 8-AAA tournament. The Lady Rebels went 2-2 in the tournament, with both losses coming to the Lady Leopards of Banks County; however, the two losses did not prevent the Lady Rebels from making the state tournament. Fannin secured a place in the playoffs, with a win over West Hall in the first round of the conciliation bracket. (more…)
An emotional night for Fannin’s seniors did not go as planned, but the team played with a lot of heart as Fannin fell to East Hall 8-7. The game saw lead changes and ties all the way until the end. Just when it looked like the Lady Rebels had it locked up, the Lady Vikings fought back late to take the game. Following the game, the festivities for senior night occurred. The Fannin High School Rebels football team hosted the Spartans of West Hall, on Homecoming night. The Spartans routed the Rebels 49-7 behind the strength of a 35-0 first quarter. Kaitlyn Chastain and her escort Josh McFarland were crowned Homecoming Queen and King respectively. (more…)
After falling, to the Lady Wolves of Buford (9-1) the Fannin County High School Lady Rebels softball has bounced back with a triple in the win column, beating: North Hall (4-1); Dawson County (10-7); and West Hall (15-0). The win streak puts the Lady Rebels’ record at 14-10 on the year. (more…)

The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels softball team recently routed both the Lady Panthers of Union (7-2) and the Lady Spartans of West Hall (13-1). The junior varsity Lady Rebels team also swept its double header with Towns County (3-2, 17-5) to extend the undefeated season record to 6-0. After falling to the Lady Tigers of Dawson, 6-3, for the seventh loss of the season, the Lady Rebels varsity pulled to within one game of .500, with a 6-7 record, after the wins over Union and West Hall. The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels’ softball season came to a close in the second round of the state playoffs. The second seeded Lady Rebels traveled to Jackson County to take on the first seeded Lady Panthers in a best of three series.
