Rebels Bounce Back at Banks Expense Leave Leopards with Losses in Two Straight

The Fannin County High School Rebels baseball team bounced back from a 12 game losing streak to start a two game win streak. The streak resulting in the Rebels beating the Banks Leopard, with a 14-45 win on the road and a 7-3 win at home. The Rebels now sit at 5-13 on the season. (more…)

The Fannin High School Rebels football team hosted the Spartans of West Hall, on Homecoming night. The Spartans routed the Rebels 49-7 behind the strength of a 35-0 first quarter. Kaitlyn Chastain and her escort Josh McFarland were crowned Homecoming Queen and King respectively. (more…)
Fannin had its hands full Friday night, as the football Rebels of Fannin County High School hopped on the buses for the first time this year to travel to White County to face the Warriors. The Warriors’ run game walked all over the Rebels’ defense in a 48-13 White County victory. (more…)
The Fannin County High School Rebels hosted the Leopards of Banks County during the last game of the season. Fannin secured its first shut out of the year with an 8-0 victory. Afterward the Rebels recognized the lone senior, Todd Patterson, during a brief “Senior Night” ceremony. (more…)
The Fannin Rebels’ football season came to a close at home on “Senior Night.” The Rebels honored all the senior football players, cheerleaders, and band members in a brief ceremony before the game. Fannin then faced the Vikings of East Hall. The Vikings rampaged through the Rebels’ home, leaving with a 34-0 Vikings’ victory. (more…)
The Fannin County High School Rebels football team rode to Buford to take on the Wolves of Buford High School. Buford was bigger and faster than Fannin and it showed early and often, as the Wolves cruised to a 51-0 victory. (more…)
The Fannin Rebels football team hosted the Leopards of Banks County for the second year in a row due to the new region realignments. The revenge minded Rebels refused to repeat last year’s 42-21 Leopards lambasting; however a 43 yard Leopards’ touchdown run with 2:07 left in the game gave Banks a 47-46 come from behind victory on Fannin’s homecoming night. Noah O’Neal hit his first home run, a two run homer, in the bottom of the first inning. Dawson answered with a two run homer of its own, in the top of the second inning, by the short stop. Fannin really went off in the bottom of the second inning. The Rebels were able to score ten runs without a single out in the bottom of the second inning. Fannin loaded the bases numerous times, and errors by Dawson enabled the Rebels to score at will. Fannin took this game 15-9 over Dawson.
