Rebels Bounce Back at Banks Expense Leave Leopards with Losses in Two Straight

The Fannin County High School Rebels baseball team bounced back from a 12 game losing streak to start a two game win streak. The streak resulting in the Rebels beating the Banks Leopard, with a 14-45 win on the road and a 7-3 win at home. The Rebels now sit at 5-13 on the season. (more…)
The Fannin County High School Rebels baseball team has hit a rough patch, with three straight losses after the 14-1 blow-out victory over Murray County. The Rebels have fallen to North Hall twice (13-7, 15-2) and East Hall, (6-2). (more…)
The Fannin High School Rebels baseball team has started the 2014 baseball season off with three wins in four games, with the lone loss coming on the road to the Panthers of Union County. The Fannin High School Rebels football team hosted the Spartans of West Hall, on Homecoming night. The Spartans routed the Rebels 49-7 behind the strength of a 35-0 first quarter. Kaitlyn Chastain and her escort Josh McFarland were crowned Homecoming Queen and King respectively. (more…)

The Fannin Rebels football team hosted the Leopards of Banks County for the second year in a row due to the new region realignments. The revenge minded Rebels refused to repeat last year’s 42-21 Leopards lambasting; however a 43 yard Leopards’ touchdown run with 2:07 left in the game gave Banks a 47-46 come from behind victory on Fannin’s homecoming night. The Fannin County High School Rebels baseball team traveled to East Hall to take on the Vikings. The Rebels rode away victorious over the Vikings with a 6-2 win. Andrew “Peddles” Hyatt led the Rebels on the mound, picking up the win, while pitching a complete game. (more…)
Fannin Gets the Best of Rabun in Double Header

Peyton Satterfield had a good game at the plate to help the Fannin County Rebels to a 4-3 victory in seven innings over Rabun County at home. Satterfield got on base three times in the game for the Rebels. Satterfield singled in the third and seventh innings. Trevor Stone was a workhorse on the mound for the Rebels. Stone allowed two earned runs, four hits and one walk while striking out three. Andrew Hyatt, Jordan Gray, Satterfield, Noah O`Neal, and Todd Patterson each got hits for Fannin County. O`Neal led the team with two hits, with the game winner in the bottom of the 7th.

The Fannin County High School Rebels baseball made the pilgrimage to Lumpkin County to take on the Indians. The Indians scored five runs in the bottom of the sixth, and withstood a furious Fannin rally in the top of the seventh to secure a 6-3 win. (more…)
The Fannin High School Rebels football team traveled to Rabun County to take on the Wildcats. The players of Fannin found out that head coach Clark Drennan was “relieved of his (football) duties” hours before the game. The Rebels were obviously distracted and Fannin fell, 35-21. (more…)
