White beats Blue in Fannin Spring Game

The Rebels of Fannin County kicked off their spring game on Friday May11, 2012. Starting quarterback, Trevor Stone, who was “all time quarterback,” started the Blue series off with a quarterback keeper from 10 yards out to put his team up 6-0, after a failed two point conversion. No extra points were kicked, therefore; both teams went for two throughout the game.
Stone handed the ball off to Jordan Gray, who broke away for a forty-one yard touchdown for the White team. Stone completed the two point conversion pass to put the White team up 8-6.
After a turnover on downs for the Blue team, Stone handed the ball off to Gray again, and he responded with 63 yard scamper that put the White up 14-6. Stone was stuffed on the qb keeper by the Blue defense on the conversion attempt.
Stone’s fourteen yard pass to Noah O’Neal and a successful two point conversion by Blue tied the game at 14 all. Stone completed a 64 yard pass for a touchdown to put the White team up 20-14.
Stone’s 10 yard touchdown pass and successful two point conversion put the Blue team up 22-20 at the half. After halftime, the second string was put in to finish the game. After a few fumbles by the Blue team, the White team scored on both fumbles and won the game 36-22.
