Errors are the Downfall of Tellico Plains, Copper Basin Coasts to Win

In the first inning, Blake Satterfield came to bat and singled to advance the runner to third base. Matt Ray had a sacrificed fly to score a runner and tie the game 1-1. During the second inning, a Tellico Plains player flied out in their first and second at bat. The Copper Basin Cougars sacrificed an at bat to go up 3-1. In the same inning, an error by Tellico Plains allowed the Cougars to score another run and go up 4-1. The Cougars were not done scoring in this inning, getting one more run before the third inning and led 5-1. Copper Basin scored two more runs in the bottom of the third inning on a double hit to right field. The Cougars scored two more runs in this inning, with one of them being an error by the catcher. Going into the fourth inning, Copper Basin led 8-1. Tellico Plains got back on the board with some shaky pitching by Matt Ray in the top of the fourth inning, but the Cougars still led 8-2. Blake Satterfield doubled in the bottom of the fifth inning to put runners on second and third base. The Cougars sacrificed an at bat to score one run and scores the tenth run to end the game in the bottom of the fifth, with the final score being 10-2.
