The Fannin County High School track and field Rebels will send five participates to the State Track Meet, four girls and one boy. Only those competitors, who placed in the top eight at the Sectionals meets, are allowed to continue on to the State meet. (more…)

The Fannin County High School Rebels soccer team fell to Jackson 6-2 in the Region 8-AA Tournament. Both the girls’ and boys’ tennis teams fell in the first round. The boys baseball team was swept in the first round by North Oconee County, 7-0 and 10-0. (more…)
The Fannin County High School Rebels basketball teams traveled to East Hall High School to take on the Vikings squads. The Lady Rebels lost 59-37, and the boys lost 83-40. (more…)
The Fannin County High School Rebels basketball teams hosted the Tigers of Dawson County, in the first ever, basketball, “Pink Out,” in honor of those who have dealt with the effects of breast cancer. The Lady Rebels tied the Lady Tigers’ tails with a 45-38 victory. The Rebels boys’ basketball team fell 38-23. (more…)

The Fannin County High School Rebels basketball teams traveled to Banks County to take on the Leopards. The Lady Rebels were victorious, in a curiously called contest, where the referees ruffled the feathers of both fan bases. The Lady Rebels escaped with a 70-62 win, despite only hitting one fourth quarter field goal. The male Rebels were rebelliously trying to avenge and earlier defeat; however Fannin fell 69-52. (more…)
Fannin Finds Success in Copper Basin

The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels and Rebels Basketball teams traveled to Copper Basin to take on the Lady Cougars and Cougars. Both teams were successful with, the Lady Rebels running roughshod over the Lady Cougars, winning 57-37, and the Rebels posting a dramatic come from behind, four point, 60-56 win. The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels and Rebels basketball teams hosted the Lady Colonels and Colonels of Cass High. It was a tale of two games the Lady Rebels ran roughshod over the Lady Colonels, winning 48-19, while the male Rebels of Fannin fell 56-24. (more…)

Fannin County High Schools Lady Rebels and Rebels’ basketball teams traveled to Gilmer County, for contests versus the Lady Bobcats and Bobcats of Gilmer High School. The teams went 0-2 on the day, as the Lady Rebels came up three points short, 41-38, and the Rebels were thoroughly dismantled 74-39. (more…)
The Fannin High School volleyball teams hosted the Bulldogs of Murphy High School, (N.C.). Fannin fell to Murphy in two sets, on a night that honored the three senior members of the First year Fannin volleyball program: Mallory Arp, Sara Dobbins, and Lindsey Wright. The night was full of Fannin emotions, as shortly before the senior ceremony, fallen Fannin High School student, Dakota Leach, was honored, following a rousing Rebels rendition of the national anthem by Logan O’ Neal. Despite taking three out of four games played in a scrimmage with Pickens at Fannin County High School earlier in the week, the Lady Rebels volleyball team was swept by both the Pickens High School Dragonettes, and the Bobcats of Our Lady of Mercy, in the official debut matches of its inaugural season. Fannin fell 25-13, and 25-17 to the Dragonettes. The Lady Rebels lost 25-9, and 25-7 to the Bobcats. (more…)
