Don Edwin Kimsey, age 82, of Turtletown, TN, passed away on January 14, 2020. He was born on September 23, 1937, in Ducktown, Tennessee, to the late Letcher and Effie Rose Kimsey. Don worked for the Tennessee Chemical Company as a Steel Rigger. He was an avid outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and one of the greatest Tennessee Volunteer fans ever, loving the sport of football and wearing that orange & white. He was the longest member of the Turtletown Baptist Church, also a member of the Turtletown Ruitan Club; Polk Co. Court and the Dixie Youth Baseball.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sue Kimsey; sons, Kenton Kimsey, Stephen Kimsey and Jon Kimsey; grandsons, Benjamin Kimsey, Devon Kimsey, Peyton Kimsey and Matthew Kimsey; brother-in-law Bill (Joan) Stuart; sister-in-laws, Martha (Randall) Millholland, Mildred Kimsey, Sheila Stuart, and Patsy Stuart; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 17, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. from the Turtletown Baptist Church with the Rev. Brad Ledford and Rev. Ray Harper officiating. Music will be provided by Janice Reid. Pallbearers will be Stuart Millholland, Greg Stuart, Benjamin Kimsey, Devon Kimsey, Peyton Kimsey, Matthew Kimsey and John Hicks. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ronnie Hensley, Owen Hensley, Rassie Cheek, The Rigging Crew at Tennessee Chemical, Mens group of Turtletown Baptist Church and James “Bee” Hicks. Interment will follow in the Turtletown Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M.
