After months of debate, L.O.S.T (Local Option Sales Tax) negotiations between the City of Blue Ridge and Fannin County are set to go to court next month.
The case will go before Judge Stone on March 12, 2013. Judge Stone will then decide the portion of L.O.S.T. revenue the city will receive and the portion the county will receive. In the last negotiation session, the county offered 12.25%, but the city made a final offer of 20.5%. At the end of the session, all parties agreed they would go before the judge and allow him to render a decision.
