Mrs. Mary Sue Mann, age 77, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on December 30, 2019 in the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA. Born in Ellijay, GA, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Helen Wilson Starks. She had worked for a number of years for Sky City in Blue Ridge, GA as a sales associate and also as a machine operator for Mohawk Industries. Mary Sue had a wonderful life, with her daughter Terresa as her crowning achievement, and source of daily joy (mixed with some frustration). Her family will continue to have her love and which will continue to bring them peace. She was a long time member of the Young’s Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Mann was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lewis “H.L.” Mann.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Terresa Mann Barge and Phillip Barge of Blairsville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Gerald and Marlene Starks of Ellijay, GA; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Linda Starks Parks of Ellijay, GA, Dorothy Starks Mann and Rev. Kenneth Mann of Blue Ridge and Janie Starks Farist and Emmett Farist of Ellijay, GA; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Parks and Rev. David Mashburn officiating. Music was provided by the O’Neal Family. Interment followed in the Young’s Chapel Baptist Church with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Joel Mann, Matthew Starks, Mickey Starks, Brent Berry, Pat Holloway and Rob Denison.
