Shannon Robert Guinn, age 49 of Ducktown, TN passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. He was born on July 11, 1970 in Copperhill, TN. Shannon was an electrician. He was a member of Damascus Baptist Church. Shannon was preceded in death by his brother, Jamison Shawn Guinn.

Survivors are his wife of twenty-two years, Teresa Mashburn Guinn of Ducktown, TN; father, James Robert Guinn (Cindy) of Morganton, GA; mother, Sherry Guinn of McCaysville, GA; brother, James Landon Guinn of Blue Ridge, GA; sister, Kristen Cole (Josh) of Turtletown, TN; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. David Mashburn (Pat) of Epworth, GA; sisters-in-law, Deborah Smith (Eric) of Mineral Bluff, GA and Pamela Mashburn of Tampa, FL; brother-in-law, Jonathan Mashburn of Epworth, GA; nieces and nephews, Riley Cole, Caden Cole, Willow Cole and Jude Conguta; several aunts; uncles; cousins and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Contardi, Rev. Billy Ray Queen and Rev. Gary Patterson officiating. Music will be by Amy Young, Tara Contardi and The Billy Wayne Chastain Family. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Mashburn, Eric Smith, Josh Cole, Eric Chastain, David Curtis, Mark Young, Stacy Nicholson and Drew Anderson. Honorary Pallbearers will be all male members of Damascus Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge on Sunday evening, October 27, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Blue Ridge, 171 Mineral Springs Road, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.
