Mr. Larry Joe Godfrey, age 76, of Murphy, NC, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 9, 2019. He was born on December 30, 1942, in Harlan, KY, to the late Rastus Godfrey and Bonnie Mae Stiles Godfrey. Mr. Godfrey retired from the United States Air Force. He is also preceded in death by his brother, George Godfrey.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Amelia Godfrey; daughter and her husband, Lisa and Melvin Goss, Jr.; sister and her husband, Gail and Mike Adams; and grandchildren, Cassidy Goss and Kaitlyn Goss.
