Charles Rondall Sisson, age 83 of Copperhill, TN passed away on Friday, August 30, 2019 at the Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. He was born on August 18, 1936 in Logan, WV to the late Richard Posey Sisson and Ruth Reece Sisson. Mr. Sisson retired from the United States Air Force after nearly twenty-three years. He and his wife moved to Blue Ridge, GA in 1992. Mr. Sisson was very active in the community and especially his church the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge. He served as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, AWANA Leader and also participated in various other activities. He went on seventeen mission trips to Jamaica with the Morganton Baptist Association. Mr. Sisson served on the Georgia Baptist Disaster Relief. He was a past president of The Gideon’s International. Mr. Sisson was a member of the Air Force Sergeant’s Association. He retired from Ace Hardware after fifteen years. Mr. Sisson was preceded in death by his parents; sons Charles R. Sisson, Jr. and John Scott Sisson; grandson, Matthew Scott Sisson and granddaughter, Sarah Melissa Sisson.

Survivors are his wife of sixty-two years, Annette Taylor Sisson of Copperhill, TN; foster daughter, Debbie Cates of Midland, TX; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Peterman Sisson of Warner Robins, GA; sister, Sherell Patterson of Blue Ridge, GA; great-grandchildren, Robin Lynn Sisson and Dylan Scott Sisson both of Mt. Carmel, TN; nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge with Rev. Bob Richardson officiating. Music will be by Rev. Bob Richardson and Pat Young. A private interment will be at the Sisson Family Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be Steve Bailey, Stan Rogers, Robert Taylor, Bob Cardwell, Bob Brady and Jim Taylor. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Blue Ridge, 907 East Main Street, Blue Ridge, GA 30513 or The Gideons International.
