To kick off the 2013-2014 school year, the students at Blue Ridge Elementary School made a splash into positive behavior by having a fun filled water day.On Friday, August 30th, each grade had nearly an hour to participate in water relays, slip and slides and (most importantly) get sprayed with a fire truck. The kids seemed to enjoy getting wet with the other activities but the favorite, by far, was the water falling from the sky as they chased the drops that fell from the big red engine up on the hill. Laughter filled the air along with the occasional squeal that was let out by a teacher that wasn’t intending on getting sprayed down.
This year, the students have tons of positive behavior intervention system reward days. Students displaying positive behavior and attitudes earn bear bucks, which is a school wide currency. They use their earned bear bucks to purchase the opportunity to participate in fun filled days like these.
FYN looks forward to seeing what rewards the students at Blue Ridge Elementary School earn this year!
