Family and friends of three young adults involved in a horrific car accident have lived their lives filled with hope for a better tomorrow, prayer for a complete recovery and fear that things might take a turn for the worst. Approximately two months after the tragic accident, all three victims: Robert Trigg (24 y/o), Alexis Yount (23 y/o) and Will Reed (24 y/o are still in critical condition. With Robert still in a coma, Alexis being a quadriplegic and Will having two broken hands and needing surgery, friends of the trio and teir families put their heads together to host a series of fundraisers to help their families with medical expenses and other medical necessities.
On Saturday, June 29th, the first of the fundraisers was held. The downtown Blue Ridge City Park filled with supporters gathered together for hot dogs, bar-b-que, beer and live entertainment. Organizers of the event told FYN that they estimated over 100 supporters of the victims gathered to show their love and support for the three victims and their families.
FYN will continue to keep you up to date on the status of the condition of the group of friends.
