Charles Lewis Mashburn, age 75, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Saturday, September 14, 2019 at his home. Mr. Mashburn was born on July 31, 1944 to the late Claude Mashburn and Blanche Cooper Mashburn. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Mashburn was preceded in death by his daughter Lola Ledford; a son, Nathan Mashburn; and sisters, Wilma Naylor, Ruth Maney, and Ann Loftis; a daughter-in-law, Melissa Mashburn; and a brother-in-law, Donald Watkins.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Earlene Dockery Mashburn of Blue Ridge; children and spouses, Ricky Mashburn of Morganton, Cindy and Marin Resendiz of Blue Ridge, Denise and Richard Merrell of Blue Ridge, Sherry and Jeremiah Greene of Morganton, Whitney and James Barrilleaux of Lula, GA, Brittany Mashburn of Blue Ridge, and Derik Mashburn of Blue Ridge; a son-in-law, Ronnie Ledford of Gainesville, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Faye Mashburn of Morganton and Gary and Bonita Mashburn of Ellijay; sister, Sarah Watkins of Cherry Log; 16 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Rex Mashburn officiating. Music will be by Angel Mashburn and Michelle Blackwell. Pallbearers will be Bailey Welch, Brandon Miller, Adam Powers, Cody Mashburn, Chris Merrell, and Michael Merrell. Interment will follow in Sunrise Tabernacle Cemetery.
