Betty Sue Barfield, age 72, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at her home. She was born on September 23, 1946 to Robert Sylvester Plush and Willa Nell Rogers Plush. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her father, Robert Plush and brother, Charles Plush.

She is survived by her children, Heather Seagle and Jody (Staci) Barfield; mother, Willa Nell Plush; grandchildren, Kiersten Seagle, Lyndsay (Scott) Hobson, Devin Barfield, Drew Barfield, and Ella Barfield; great-grandchildren, Stefan Hobson, Londyn Hobson, and Max Hobson; and siblings, William (Patsy) Plush, Raymond (Debbie) Plush, Jerry Plush, Willa Mae (Mike) Holloway, and Bobby Joe (Jo Ann) Plush.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 2:00 PM from the Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge Chapel with Min. Roy Conner officiating. Interment followed in the Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Devin Barfield, Robbie Barfield, Scott Hobson, Trevor Lanier, James Kilpatrick, and Jonah Kilpatrick.
