Winston Woodrow Jones

Winston Woodrow Jones, age 85 of Turtletown, TN passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019 in Turtletown, TN. He was born on April 7, 1933 in Cherokee, NC, to the late Thomas Jefferson Jones and Dora Ann Cross Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of the Power House of Prayer. He retired from World Carpets in maintenance. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wilford, Wilbert and Willard Jones; sisters, Olivo Harrison and Delmar Jones and son-in-law, Mitchell Adams.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Nora Lee Jones of Turtletown, TN: daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Adams, Sheila (Mickey) Loudermilk and Patricia (Johnny) Smith all of Turtletown, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Randall Lee (Linda) Jones of Cleveland, TN; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and sister, Thelma Jane Jones of Cohutta, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 6, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. from Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Music will be by the Smith Sisters, Tammy Ware and Jones Brothers. Interment will follow in the Craig Family Cemetery. Jeremy Jones, Michael Jones, Chuck Adams, Stacy Adams, Jody Smith and Rev Jonathan Smith will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Ray Jones, Varnell Jones, Coye Watkins, Johnny Smith, Mickey Loudermilk, Benny Loudermilk and Blake Loudermilk. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
