WFES Hosts Santa Shop

Featured Stories, Rebel's Corner

With Christmas morning just around the corner, children look forward to the surprises under the tree from jolly ole’ St. Nick. With the anticipation building, they also want to be able to surprise their loved ones with a little something they weren’t expecting. The students at West Fannin Elementary school had the opportunity to make these purchases at the annual Santa Shop.Coffee mugs, pot holders, photo frames, hats, scarves, movies, toys and more covered the tables in the Santa Shop. Items varied but their prices did not exceed $5 per item. Students lined the hallway and excitement filled the air as they awaited their turn to shop for their Mom, Dad, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and other loved ones. After they made their purchases, they were able to go visit school volunteers to complete a gift purchase with nothing other than gift wrap and a fancy bow.

After their gift wrap experience, students returned to class as they anxiously waited for school to dismiss so they could go home and place their surprise gifts underneath their tree.

The West Fannin Elementary School Santa Shop is sponsored by the PTO and all proceeds benefit the school directly. FYN would like to congratulate all of the students on their fabulous gift selections and we hope everyone has a happy and safe holiday season!
