Lady Rebels Ride Ends Lady Viking Victimize: Fannin Falls to E. Hall 76-43

The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels basketball team traveled to Banks County High School to take part in the 7-AAA Region Tournament. The Lady Rebels had a first round match up with the Lady Vikings of East Hall. East Hall came into the tournament as the three seed while Fannin was the sixth seed. East Hall lived up to its seeding, winning 76-43 and ending the Lady Rebels season at 11-15.The game started off back and forth with both teams trading baskets and battling to an 11-11 tie, midway through the first; however, the Lady Vikings used a 9-4 quarter closing run to take a 20-15 lead into the second quarter.

The second quarter proved to be fatal, for Fannin’s offense as the Lady Rebels scored a total of three points in the quarter. Stephanie Tatum scored the Lady Rebels first points of the quarter with a layup with 2:45 left in the second. Fannin faced a 35-18 half time deficit.

While the Lady Rebels outscored the Lady Vikings in the third 17-14, the E. Hall lead was too tall, and the Lady Vikings cruised to the 76-43 victory.

Molly Chandler was the lone Lady Rebel to score in double digits, she finished with 21 points. Tatum was second with four points.
