Fannin Falls in Seven Straight

The Fannin County High School Lady Rebels softball team has dropped seven straight games to fall to 5-14 on the year. The latest loss, came at the hands of East Hall after the Lady Rebels recognized those who have suffered from or been a caretaker of someone who’s suffered from cancer.The Lady Rebels held a brief ceremony before hosting the Lady Vikings of East Hall during which each member of the team presented a cancer survivor or caretaker with a balloon released after the ceremony.

The young Lady Rebels squad, with only two seniors, struggled to score despite taking an early 1-0 lead after the first inning. The third and fourth innings saw the Lady Vikings take a 4-1 lead that Fannin could not overcome, despite scoring two runs in the bottom of the seventh and last inning. Fannin fell 4-3.
