Buy, Eat, Shop Local for the Holidays and All Year Long!
There are so many reasons to Buy Local! Buying local STRENGHTENS OUR LOCAL ECONOMY! Did you know that when a dollar is spent locally, the biggest part of that dollar stays local?! Businesses use about 50 cents of every dollar for employee salaries and benefits. Much of the rest is invested in the business for inventory, expansion and operating costs. Only a few cents ever find their way out of town!
Buying local BUILDS LOCAL RELATIONSHIPS! When you shop locally you get to know the people you deal with and they know you. This develops Trust and a knowledge of each other that can only be found locally.
Small Business Saturday is coming up November 28. Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses and communities across the country. Founded by American Express in 2010, this day is celebrated each year on the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

New Plan for Leadership Fannin 2021
The Leadership Fannin Steering Committee has made the decision to complete the program for 2020 participants before moving on to a new class in 2021. Coronavirus Quarantine Update – April 14
Shelter in Place Through April 30
The Fannin County community will continue to “Shelter in Place” through the end of April, according to emergency orders by Governor Kemp and Fannin County last week. In addition, the Governor issued orders for all vacation rentals to stop. More information about the county resolution can be found at www.fannincountyga.com . A copy of the Governor’s order regarding vacation rentals can be found here.
What is the Difference in Emergency Declaration and Shelter in Place?
The Governor’s Emergency Order goes through May 13. That is the order he initially did so that federal disaster relief was available. Shelter in Place goes through April 30 in both the state and county orders.
Please Wear a Face Mask and Ask Your Customers to do the Same
Currently there are 12 cases recorded in Fannin County. Community members have contracted COVID-19 from contact at area big box stores. It is essential for your protection, the protection of others and for the flattening of the curve – that we all wear masks when in public. This is a CDC recommendation. A mask can be as simple as a bandana or a scarf that covers your mouth and nose. Continue to practice social distancing and wash your hands frequently.
