Mr. Kenneth “Reid” Ross: Obituary

Mr. Kenneth “Reid” Ross, age 87, of the Wolf Creek Community, passed away on December 10, 2016. Born in Fannin County, GA, he was the son of the late Floyd and Dovie Lewis Ross. He retired from the Tennessee Chemical Company after many years of service. Reid was a long time member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of almost 68 years, Gretta Brooks Ross of the home; one son, Danny Reid Ross of Mineral Bluff, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Althea Ross Hunt and John of Chattanooga, TN; sister, Reathel Amburn of Mineral Bluff, GA; grandchildren, Ryan Ross and Melanie Chapman; great grandchildren, Brandon and Weston Chapman; and one great great grandchild, Darcey Chapman.

Funeral Services were conducted on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Cheatham and Rev. Bernie Dixon officiating. Congregational music was led by Beatrice Hicks. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Ronald Brooks, Greg Brooks, Lynn Ross, Ryan Ross, Shannon Bruce and Sprio Amburn. The following have been selected to serve as an honorary escort: Jimmy Ritchie, Donald and Ann Rooney, David and Libby Stuart, Kenneth and Betty Stuart, Bobby and Deborah Amburn and Tommy Lackey.
