Fannin Fire Department Responds to House Fire

Fannin County Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire on August 2, 2015.  The house, located at 117 Bear Road in Fannin County, was in flames when firefighters arrived.   A 2 story structure was fully involved with flames through the roof and there was also a small brush fire.

Engine 1 arrived on scene and deployed 2 1 3/4″ attack lines and 1 booster line to bring fire under control.  The brush fire was brought under control and firefighters began a defensive attack on the structure. All hot spots were extinguished and all personnel cleared the scene. Local and state investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.

According to Larry Thomas, Fire / Rescue Chief, EMA Deputy Director, responders were dispatched at 6:49 pm and arrived at 6:56 pm with the scene cleared at 9:48pm.  The following were on the scene:

Engine 6
Engine 12
Tanker 6
Medic 5
Medic 4

20 firefighters responded.   There was no report of any injuries from the fire.
