Marilyn “Mutt” Bernice Pack, age 83, of Epworth, GA, died Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Life Care Center of Copper Basin in Ducktown, TN. She was born on July 5, 1931 to the late Dent Washington and Alma Christy Hughes. Mrs. Pack was a member of Kingtown Baptist Church. She retired from Copper Basin Medical Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, Warren Pack, and 9 siblings.
Survivors are children Patricia “Patsy” Pack and James (Linda) Pack, both of Epworth; Grandchildren, Lynn (Earl) Swinehart, of Blue Ridge, Amanda (Robby) Russell, of Blue Ridge, and Adam Pack, of Copperhill; Great-grandchildren, Jamie and Rob Russell of Blue Ridge, Tyler, Ashley, and Kaitlyn Pack of Copperhill, and Karson and Kendra Swinehart of Blue Ridge; and Sisters, Reba Campbell of Chattanooga, TN, and Marjorie Clontz of Baltimore, MD.
Graveside funeral services were conducted Sunday, September 28, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. from Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Rev. Dr. Tom Jordan will officiate. Music provided by Vernon Owenby. Pallbearers were Robby Russell, Earl Swinehart, Karson Swinehart, Adam Pack, Robert McClure, Joe Hamby, and Tyler Pack. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Epworth at P.O. Box 187, Epworth, GA 30541. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
