Fannin County High School FFA member Nikki Krueger attended the University of Georgia’s Veterinary Camp on July 13-19. There were a total of 49 campers from across Georgia and the nation who attended. The campers participated in blood, necropsy, pathology, and parasitology lads; learned how to perform CPR and proper bandaging procedures; and also toured the UGA Vet Science facilities and local farms. Each night they were treated to a recreational activity before returning to the dorms. On the 16th they toured behind the scenes at the Georgia Aquarium and visited the Atlanta Zoo. They were also among the few who have toured UGA’s new veterinary college teaching facility. Nikki is a senior at Fannin County High School with plans to become a veterinarian. 2nd row, 2nd from left Nikki Krueger in group photo.
