Mountain Education Charter High School is off and running this year! On Thursday evening, September 4th seniors and their parents were invited to attend an informational program about graduation, dual enrollment, college applications and admission tests, and financial aid.Staff from AmeriCorps presented information about student health, the application process and the many scholarships available to all students. They also talked about their own experiences applying to college and the importance of paying attention to deadlines. AmeriCorps is a national service organization that provides community service in a variety of settings. The AmeriCorps staff is based in Georgia Mountain Health Services. Mountain Education Charter High School in Fannin has over thirty seniors this year who plan to graduate and move on to their next set of goals. The staff at MEC work hard to make this happen for all our students!
