Lloyd Earvin Byers : Obituary

Mr. Lloyd Earvin Byers, age 83 of Blue Ridge, passed away May 26, 2014 at his home.Mr. Byers was born November 27, 1930 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Carl Byers and the late Mattie Bell Dillard Byers. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Leila Byers and daughter, Geraldine Johnson. Mr. Byers was retired from the US Air Force and a carpenter by trade.

Survivors include: son, Johnny L. Byers, son-in-law, Bill Johnson, sisters, Irene McAuliffe, Imogene Green, Inez Allen, Ann McFall, brothers, Frank Byers, Garnet Byers, Junior Byers, Hoyt Byers, grandchildren Christina, Robin, Brian, Brandi, 7 great-grandchildren and best friend, Nancy Brosheris.

Funeral services: Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Toccoa Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Thomas and Rev. Raymond Byers officiating. Music provided by: Robert Duckworth and Rev. Todd Brown. Interment will follow in the Toccoa Baptist Church Cemetery. Leading the Pallbearers will be Luis Hernandez. Pallbearers include Brian Johnson, Bill Johnson, Dewayne Brown, Johnny Ray Garren, Daryl Garren, Josh Wilson. Honorary pallbearers: Nolan Hill, Jeremy Harvey and Thomas McAuliffe.
Military Honors will be presented by the North GA Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Wednesday, May 28, 2014 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm.
