William Hoyt “Skip” Harris : Obituary

Mr. William Hoyt “Skip” Harris, age 62, of Copperhill, TN passed away Monday, May 26, 2014.William was a son of the late Robert Hoyt and Thelma Mae Helton Harris. He was a member of the Maple Grove Missionary Baptist Church and had worked with the Labor Local Union # 193 of Atlanta, GA as a Painter. He served our country in the U.S.Army in Vietnam.

He is survived by his daughter, Candi (Justin) Elrod of Copperhill,TN; brother, Scott Harris of Mineral Bluff, GA; His former wife, Cindy Harris of Kermit, TX; grandchildren, Jazmine Elrod and Luke Elrod.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 29th at 7:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Larry Stover officiating. Pallbearers include, Terry McClure, Aaron Tallent, Roy Cat Goss, Danny Crumwell, Lee Sarrell and Bob Sisson. Military honors will be conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Mr. Harris will be cremated. Memorial Contributions in memory of Mr. Harris may be made to the North Georgia Honor Guard, P.O.Box 2372, Blue Ridge, GA 30513.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 7:00 p.m.
