Urania A. Pittman : Obituary

Mrs. Urania A. Pittman, age 87 of Blue Ridge, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at North Georgia Medical Center in Ellijay. Mrs. Pittman was born March 22, 1926 in Mineral Bluff, GA to the late F. Kell Anderson and the late Minnie Bell Williams Anderson. She was a member of Union Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Glen R. Pittman, sisters, Kathaleen Mull and Ruby Pritchett, Brothers, Edmond Anderson, Glen Anderson and Reid Anderson, nephew, Lowell Anderson, niece, Thelma Jarrard.

Survivors include: sister, Virginia Anderson, sister in law, Ethel Pittman, nieces, Rowanda (Ed) Lindley, Anna (Floyd) Roper, Frances (Ferrell) Earley, Mary Kay Griffin, nephews, Bobby Anderson, and Steve Mull.

Funeral services: Thursday Feb. 6, at 2:00PM at the Finch Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Johnson and Rev. Kenneth Montgomery officiating. Interment will follow in Copper Ridge Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Ferrell Early, Ronnie Porter, Jeff Roper, Lynn Pittman, Jim Pittman and Jim Johnson. Honorary pallbearers: Bobby Anderson, Floyd Roper, Ed Lindley, Steve Mull, Wallace Pittman, Brownie Pittman, W.T. Pittman, Max Pittman, Butch Pittman, Jimmy Smith, Hoyt Holloway, Terry Roper, Mike Pittman and Greg Roper.

The family will receive friends at the Finch Cochran Funeral home in McCaysville Wednesday, Feb. 5th from 5 PM till 8 PM.
