Mrs. Joan Louise Bennett Miller, age 84 of Blairsville, Georgia peacefully passed away Monday, February 3, 2014 at the Union County Nursing Home.Joan was born on March 9, 1929 in Wall Township, New Jersey to the late Ira Bennett and Louise Gardner Bennett.
Before moving to Blairsville, Georgia in 2005, she and her late husband Bill lived in Lake Worth, Florida for over 20 years. Previously to that they were long-time residents of Manasquan, New Jersey. For many years while in Manasquan, Joan was the Office Manager for the family’s very successful electrical contracting business. She was also very active in woman’s groups and loved going to the theater in New York City. Joan was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved everyone and was loved by many and she was always happy and full of life. She will be missed by many.
Survivors include: Son and daughter-n-law, Art and Debbie Miller of Blairsville, Georgia, brother and sister-n-law, Robert and Connie Bennett of Summerton, South Carolina, brother-n-law and sister-n-law, Richard and Shirley Miller Carroll of Northfield, Vermont, granddaughters, Kim McFarland and Susan Johnson, grandsons, James Miller and Matthew Miller, great-grandchildren, Nevin Miller, Kyler Miller, Casandra Johnson, Joey Johnson, Alyssa McFarland, Madison McFarland, Aiden Freeman, and Isaac Freeman.
