The Fannin County High School wrestling Rebels recently participated in the 7-AAA Area tournament. Three Rebels qualified for the upcoming Sectionals Tournament that decides seeding for the State Traditional Tournament: Kayleb Chancey; Matthew Seabolt; and Mason McClure.Chancey was the Rebel who finished with the highest seeding, with a third place finish. Seabolt and McClure both finished with fourth place finishes.
Fannin had two other wrestlers place in the Area tournament, Colton Carpenter and Devin Greene earned fifth and sixth place finishes respectively. Both wrestlers missed participating in the Sectionals Tournament; however, Carpenter would be the first alternate should there be an injury.
Chancy Seabolt and McClure, will all have to finish in the top eight of their respective weight classes to move on to the State Traditional Tournament.
