FYN has confirmed that Mr. Carl William Davenport passed away just after midnight this morning. Following a call to 911 from Davenport reporting a suspect on his property and in his home, Fannin County Sheriff Deputy, Michael Earley, arrived and shot the citizen in the stomach. Davenport was airlifted to Erlanger hospital in Chattanooga, TN and has remained on life support until Saturday, December 29. Shortly after being taken off of life support, Davenport passed away.
FYN plans to contact Sheriff Dane Kirby and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to see how this event changes the investigation.
