Cara Louise Swanson, age 67, of Turtletown, TN passed away Friday, December 28, 2012.Louise was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late Edward and Lillie Pate Payne. She was retired from Gold Kist Poultry where she had worked as a Supervisor. She loved and enjoyed being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Swanson and brothers, Harold Payne, Lloyd Payne, Charles Fair, sisters, Arlene Hughes, June Hill and most recently Sabina Adcock.
She is survived by daughters, Donna (Gary) Walters of Ellijay, GA, Kelly (Ronald) Rhodes of Blue Ridge, GA, Becky Smith of Turtletown, TN, Kim (John) Lay of McCaysville, GA, Sharon (Greg) Cagle of Cisco, GA; brother Hoyt Payne of Grundy, VA; sister, Bonnie Meisch of Gastonia, NC; twenty one grandchildren; twenty four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Dilbeck officiating. Pallbearers include Jason Cruse, Michael Cruse, Anthony Noland, Lucas Stiles, Daniel Lay and Billy Payne. Interment will follow in the Zion Hill Baptist Church cemetery.
