Madelyn Rogers : Obituary

Mrs. Madelyn Cox Rogers, age 73 of Morganton, passed away Saturday, December 29, 2012 at her home.Mrs. Rogers was born May 18, 1939 in Fannin County GA, to the late Clem Iverson and Ruby Leona Cruse Cox. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church and had worked at Andy’s Jewelry in Blue Ridge for twenty six years. She enjoyed spending time bird watching. She was preceded in death by husband, W.B. Rogers.

Survivors include: son & daughter-in-law, David Ronald & Diane Rogers, daughter & son-in-law, Patricia Gail & Danny Foster, brother, Mac Cox, granddaughter, Amelia and Shannan Collins, grandson, Cody (Tessa) Rogers, step grandson, Brock Foster, step granddaughter, Amanda Lance, step granddaughter, Amelia Myer, two great grandchildren, eight step great grandchildren and special friend, Becky Patterson.

Funeral services: Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at 2:00PM Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Weeks and Rev. Kenneth Mann officiating. Music provided by: One Gold. Interment will follow in Chastain Memorial Park. Pallbearers: Cody Rogers, Jamie Cox, Mark Chapman, Larry Cruse, Johnny Cantrell and Chris Rogers.

The family will receive friends at the Henry Cochran Funeral home after 2:00PM Sunday.
