While out of town, the Holsonback children were in an accident involving a semi truck, according to the GoFundMe page set up in their honor.
Tragically, one of the children did not survive the crash. He was a junior at Fannin County High School.
Two other children are currently in critical condition at a hospital in Augusta.
“Your assistance is urgently needed to support the family with funeral expenses for their son, John, as well as medical and travel costs,” reads the GoFundMe.
The Copper Basin Federal Credit Union is also accepting donations on behalf of the family. A post on the CBFCU Facebook page reads as follows:
“Please consider a donation to this family through this GoFundMe: https://gofund.me/d85e81e9 or by deposit at either CBFCU branch. Your deposits will gather in one account that will be given directly to the Holsonback family.”
