Last night, Greater Atlanta Christian (18-7, 9-3 Region 7-AAA) traveled to Fannin County to take on the Rebels (6-18, 0-12 Region 7-AAA) for their senior night. Although Fannin fought hard until the end, the Spartans ran away with their second region victory against the Rebels with a score of 64-33.

Senior, Jerritt Holloway, was the first to put points on the board as he drove to the basket for a Fannin layup. Kaeden Twiggs made two of his own points as he made his way past the defense to score a layup. The Spartans were putting points on the board with their outside shots as they took a 15-6 lead 

Cohutta Hyde was the one to lead Fannin in scoring for the night as he added 11 points to the board. Landon Norton followed the trend as he showed off his hustle and made a layup to add to the Rebels score. The Spartans full court pressed Fannin and made them work to get to the basket as they extended their lead 29-18 to go into halftime. 

Jalen Ingram shooting foul shots for Fannin

The Rebels began to look inside to their posts to score points while the Spartans drove to the basket. Jalen Ingram showed off his moves on the block as he added five points to Fannin’s score. Senior, Miles Johnson, followed the trend as he added five of his own points to the board to put the score at 48-25 with the Spartans still in the lead.

Dylan Collins was aggressive on the block to start off the fourth quarter. He showed off his moves as he earned four points for Fannin. Eli Brisbay-Cochran came into the game and sped past the defense to pull up for a shot and add to the Rebels score. While Fannin continued to hustle, GAC closed out the game with a 64-33 victory. Fannin’s loss puts their overall record at 6-18 and their region record at 0-12.
