BLUE RIDGE, Ga. – During their Friday, May 10, 2019 meeting, the Fannin Board of Tax Assessors indicated that they will be hiring a new part-time employee.

This employee will be responsible for appraisal field work, though the board isn’t sure when this new employee will be hired at this point in time.

According to Chief Appraiser Dawn Cochran, the new employee won’t effect the current budget, though HIPAA laws prohibit them from going into too much detail as of why.

The next meeting will be Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 2 pm at the Fannin County Court House, which will also be the final meeting before the board uploads their digest and mails out assessment notices on the Friday, June 14, 2019. The board will be approving final land schedules during this meeting.
