Emil “Moe” Van Watson
March 27, 1938 – January 15, 2019
Mr. Emil Van ” Moe” Watson, age 80 of Copperhill, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019. Mr. Watson was born in Epworth, GA to the late Orlan and Lillie Bailles Watson. He served in the United States Army. He later worked in landscaping and construction.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Thrasher Watson of the home; step-son, Tori (Vivian) Cagle of Douglasville, GA; Carol’s deceased son, Troy Eugene Cagle, Sr, who lived in Ranburn, AL; brother, Toby (Molly) Watson; sister, Belvalene Waldrip of Blairsville, GA; nephews, Donnie (Kim) Watson, Stacy Waldrip, and Robbie (Sandy) Wright; other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Elder Rock Henderson officiating. Interment followed in the Hipps Chapel Church Cemetery. Donnie Watson, Robbie Wright, Benjamin Wright, T.J. Cagle, and Tori Cagle served as pallbearers.
