Lewis Goldman White, Jr: Obituary

August 31, 1963 – January 11, 2019

Mr. Lewis Goldman White, Jr, age 55, of Murphy, NC, passed away Friday, January 11, 2019. Lewis was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a son of the late Lewis Goldman White, Sr and Carol Lee Manis White. He was a self-employed Roofer and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed reading his Bible and talking about his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, playing his guitar, spending time with his horses and talking on the phone.

He is survived by siblings, Stephen (Sandy) White and Billy White, both of Murphy, NC; Sandy (Mark) Gregory of Epworth, GA; niece, Misty (Justin) Beck of Turtletown, TN; Nephew, Tyler White, Murphy, NC; Great-Niece, Aleyah White; many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were conducted Monday, January 14, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Don Padgett officiating. Mr.White’s wishes were to be cremated.  In lieu of flowers, memorials my be made to help defray final expenses. Condolences to the family may be sent online to akinsfuneralhome.com.
