Gordon Chris Boe

June 20, 1932 – January 1, 2019

Gordon Chris Boe, 86, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 5 in Blue Ridge, Georgia at 11:00 am, Damascus Baptist Church.
Born June 20, 1932, in Bagley, Minnesota, Gordon was a son of the late Christian Boe and Julia Rindal Boe. He was retired from the US Army, serving from June 1949 – May 1970. He served during the Vietnam War and the Korean War and earned a Bronze Star and Combat Infantry Badge. Gordon will be remembered as a kind-hearted giving man, with a heart of gold.
Gordon is survived by his daughters, Katherine Jane Boe, Karen Boe Shadden and husband Jeff, sister Lorraine Boe, grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Amy Toney, Travis Boe, Hayley Boe, Bryana Sutton, and Brittney Sutton, and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Brooks Toney. In addition to his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his wife Willa Nell Nicholson Boe and son Gerald Chris Boe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, stjude.org.
