Wilma Delores Richards Buchanan: Obituary

Wilma Delores Richards Buchanan, age 88 of Mineral Bluff GA passed away Friday, February 10, 2017 at the Fannin Regional Hospital. Wilma was born on January 25, 1929 in Fannin County, GA to the late Robert Lee Richards and Ester Beavers Richards. She worked at the Walmart in Murphy, NC for eighteen years. Wilma was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors are her daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Don Gibbs of Mineral Bluff, GA and Shirley and Wendell Sasser of Nicholls, GA; son and daughter-in-law, James and Ginger Buchanan of Gainesville, GA; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Paul Adams officiating. Music will be by Carolyn Filer. Pallbearers will be Jamie Buchanan, Justin Gibbs, Drew Gibbs, Steven Sasser, Gregory Sasser, Dan Louney, Tony Henson and Kim Corn. Interment will follow in the Mount Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of the arrangements.
