Five 9th grade Fannin County High School students achieved Microsoft Office Specialist Certification in Word this fall semester. Ethan Mann, Lolly Korwatch, Joseph Long, Savannah Rivas and Levi Patton , pictured above, recently passed the Microsoft exam receiving the internationally recognized certification normally sought after by adults. Microsoft Certification is an industry standard, which can help open doors to potential job opportunities.

Through class work and additional instruction and effort, the 9th grade students prepared for the exam and have now earned an official Microsoft industry credential that will benefit them throughout their schooling and in their careers. These students had the opportunity to take the exam while enrolled in the Introduction to Business and Technology class, taught by Jodie Birchmore at the high school.
