Mrs. Jo Ethel Howard: Obituary

Mrs. Jo Ethel Howard, age 80, of Copperhill, TN passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016. Mrs. Howard was born in Polk County to the late William and Mary Waters Locke. She was employed in Customer Service with the former Sky City retail store. She was a member of the Mt. Zion “Tumbling Creek” Baptist Church and also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Howard and brother, Richard Locke.

She is survived by children, Rick (Nola) Howard of McCaysville, GA, Annette (Mike) Weaver of Murphy,NC; sisters, Rhoda Deal, Rachel Allen, Essie Rymer and Margaret O’Neal, all of Copperhill, TN; six grandchildren, Phillip Howard, Jennifer Addington, Amos Weaver, Miranda Standridge, Megan Collins and Mindy Weaver. Nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 5th at 2:00 pm from the Mt. Zion “Tumbling Creek” Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Payne, Rev. Lloyd Deal And Rev. Gerald Payne officiating. Music will be by Kenny O’Neal, Leroy & Levi Deal and The Deal Family. Pallbearers will be Richard Deal, Bryan Allen, David Rymer, Chris O’Neal, Richie Howard and Amos Weaver. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
