FCHS Theatre Department presents the spring musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, on Friday, May 13 at 7:00 PM, and on Saturday at 2:00 PM and again at 7:00 PM in the Fannin County High School Performing Arts Center.  Admission is $5 at the door.  During the 1850s, Milly (Charitty Tuttle), a pretty young cook, marries Adam (Collin Queen), a back- woodsman, after a brief courtship. When the two return to Adam’s farm, Milly is shocked to meet his six ill-mannered brothers (played by Nate Wood, Tristan Carroll, Dylan Weigle, Josh Mellman, Adam Farmer and Matt Jaffie), all of whom live in his cabin. She promptly begins teaching the brothers proper behavior, and most importantly, how to court a woman. Under the misguided influence of Plutarch’s Sabine Women, the brothers kidnap six local beauties (Mylee Butler, Cheyenne Reynolds, Jenna Garrison, Kaitlyn Dickey, Amber Stenstrom and Christa Allen), and a group of indignant villagers tries to track them down. All’s well that ends well, but mayhem ensues prior to the happy ending.

The musical is a collaboration of theatre, band, and choral students under the direction of Lesa Burgess, Scott Barnstead, and Mike Weaver with choreography by Marianella (Nellie) Crispin.
