It has been my honor to serve as your Tax Commissioner.  I was elected in 2012 and took office January 1, 2013. I have had the pleasure of working under the previous Tax Commissioners, Windell Davis and Beverly Weaver.  They have instilled in me a great amount of knowledge required for this position.

I am married to Larry Joe Sosebee.  Between us we have three children and six grandchildren.  I am a life-long resident of Fannin County and proud to call it my home.

The Tax Commissioner’s Office is responsible for the billing and collection of property taxes charged on the digest.  We then properly disburse the funds to the state, county, schools and cities.  Our office is also in charge of motor vehicle transactions.  We collect the tax, tag and title fees required by the State of Georgia.

I have brought new services to the Tax Commissioner’s Office.  Now we can pay with debit or credit cards in the office.  Also, we can now renew our tags online.  I have also set up property taxes and mobile homes digest so we can view and pay online.

My dedication and loyalty to the Tax Commissioner’s Office will always be to provide our county with the quality services we deserve.  Please support and vote for Shirley Sosebee May 24^th.
