Fire Blocks East Main Street for An Hour

A grease fire at Serenity Gardens Cafe on East Main Street caused police and fire to close the road from approximately 4:15 to 5:15 pm on Thursday, March 31st. The grease fire started on the stove in the restaurant’s kitchen. There was little damage and no one was injured. Battalion Chief Epperson said, “It’s just regular kitchen stuff. No need to worry.”
