Brian Jones, Candidate for Magistrate Judge of Fannin County

Politics

My name is Brian Jones, and I am campaigning for the position of Magistrate Judge of Fannin County. I was born and raised in Fannin County. My parents are Ernest and Sarah “Jo” Jones of Epworth. My wife, Angela McDaris Jones, and I have been married for 19 years. She is a math teacher at Fannin County High School. I have two sons. Josh is 27 and Zack is 13. My grandson, Kyle, is 7.
I have had the pleasure of serving our community for most of my life. I began in the 80’s as a volunteer fire fighter and 1st Responder. I have been a dispatcher, jailor, Sheriff’s Deputy, and Assistant Chief of Police for McCaysville. I am currently a Sergeant for the Blue Ridge Police Department. I have worked there for over 7 years. I am a member of the McCay Lodge #423 in McCaysville.
I have worked for over 20 years in law enforcement. In that time I have developed a passion for protecting and improving our community. I believe that my outside experience in law enforcement would be a benefit, because I constantly work with people to resolve problems and enforce the law. I have had many interactions with the Court system and know how the Courts function. If elected I would run a professional, efficient office adjudicating cases in a timely manner according to the law. I believe in fairness, impartiality, and compassionate enforcement of the law. I know the importance of taking the time necessary to hear each matter and carefully consider how the law applies to the lives of those who would appear before me. Thank you for your support. Vote the people’s choice, vote Brian Jones. Your support is greatly appreciated.
