John Newton Morford, age 87, of Morganton, GA passed away Friday, July 24, 2015 at his home. Mr. Morford was born in Spencer, WV to the late Ivan and Ruby Morford. He worked as a Personnel Director at ITT and was a member of Cherry Log Christian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Morford of Morganton, GA; son and daughter-in-law Mark and Marjorie Morford of Portland, OR; stepson, Jeff Serusa of Martha’s Vineyard, MA; and daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Edward Kirkland of Forsyth, GA. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
