Mr. James Bobby Deal, beloved brother of June (Salvatore) Tabone of Rome, GA, and Joanne (Marvin) Poole of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away the morning of Friday, May 29, 2015 at his home. Bobby was born January 28, 1935 in Copperhill to the late Ira Jefferson Deal, Sr and Ida Mae Pless Deal. He was a member of the Mt. View Baptist Church, a member of the American Legion, and had served his country in the Korean Conflict from 1954 to 1958. He had worked at General Motors in Atlanta, GA for twenty years. He also lived in Atlanta at that time.
Along with his sisters and brothers-in-law, he is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. He will be greatly missed by all.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, June 1st at 3:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Roger Hyatt and Rev. David O’Neal officiating. Music was by Dennis Barnes and Stacey Waters. Pallbearers included Rick Hyatt, Walter Hyatt, Myron Falls, Junior Poole, Jeff Deal, Jeff Dills and Alex Falls. Interment followed in the Mt. View cemetery with full military honors conducted by the North Georgia Honor Guard. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
