Daily Prayer: February 7, 2015

Matthew 5:44 “Pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”You have taught us, O Lord, that we should try to live peaceably with all men. There are those, who in the course of our days, do not deal with us as Christians because they are not Christians themselves. Their way of dealing is hard, crude, and rude. Help us who are Christians to understand that they are like that because they do not have peace or purpose in their hearts.

We pray for Christians all over the world who are suffering persecution because of their faith. We thank Youe that here in America we have freedom of religion and are not under persecution. May those who serve as missionaries in hostile countries have You abiding peace upon them.

If this person who pauses for a moment of meditation just now needs wisdom for interpersonal relationships grant this one the knowledge that Thou canst work through the human personality for good through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
